Police officer martyred in Khuzdar blast

KHUZDAR: On Sunday in Khuzdar, Balochistan, a magnetic improvised explosive device (IED) struck a police car, resulting in the martyrdom of one police official and the injuries of two others. Police said that after his automobile was targeted on the Sultan Ibrahim road, Mohammad Murad, a station house officer with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), accepted death in the explosion. The injured have been moved to the Khuzdar Teaching Hospital, the police continued. In a media conference after the incident, acting federal interior minister Sarfaraz Bugti stated that combating terrorism is becoming a national priority due to its increasing difficulty. "The war against terrorism is not just CTDs but of the entire nation," he stated.
