PML-N to consult with allies regarding PTI ban issue: Khawaja Asif

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will confer with its parliamentary allies over the possible prohibition of Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), as declared by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. The announcement highlights the significance of cooperation in legislative affairs.

Asif questioned the political motivations of PTI at a Sialkot press conference, saying, “The only aim of PTI is power.”

He mentioned remarks made by a female PTI member, claiming that their political tenet is that Pakistan would not exist without Imran Khan. “For me, Pakistan is the most important thing,” he stated.

Asif also talked about the ramifications of Article 6, citing his own involvement in political investigations and emphasising the need to maintain accountability, particularly in view of previous proceedings pertaining to the vote of no confidence.
