In the Punjab Assembly, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has presented a motion denouncing “digital terrorism.” The resolution was presented by Raheela Khadim Hussain, a member of the PML-N.
According to the resolution, “digital terrorism” is eroding the nation’s social and political foundations. It emphasises how frequently these terrorists target establishments and intimidate law enforcement personnel and their families.
The resolution further states that acts of “digital terrorism” damage the nation’s reputation by being widely publicised abroad. It charges social media vloggers with malevolent behaviour at the direction of opposition political groups.
According to the resolution’s language, institutions, labour unions, and political leaders are all vulnerable to cyberterrorism.
