PM vows to make Pakistan abode of peace

The Shuhada Package was launched by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday in an effort to assist the families of federal government employees who lost their lives while performing their duties.

While visiting the family of late Customs Inspector Syed Hasnain Ali Tirmizi, who was killed in a shooting incident in Dera Ismail Khan a few days ago, the prime minister revealed the package. Senior government officials, PML-N leaders, including Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar were present.

The family of slain troops received a cheque from PM Sharif under the Shuhada Package, and he said that his administration would make every effort to ensure the safety of the customs officers tasked with ridding the nation of smugglers.

He claimed that the federal government had now been included in the Shuhada Package.
