Today, while presiding over a meeting in Lahore, he gave the go-ahead to the relevant authorities to develop a comprehensive mechanism to address the problems with the food chain and the public’s easy access to agricultural products. The Prime Minister requested that work on agricultural reforms be finished as soon as possible and that the role of agricultural research institutions at the federal and provincial levels be activated in order to improve the agricultural sector. Shehbaz Sharif ordered to provide farmers with high-quality seeds by ensuring transparency and efficiency in the seed certification process after expressing displeasure over the import of crops despite having the status of an agricultural nation. In order to gain bumper cotton crops, the Prime Minister directed authorities concerned to take immediate and long-term measures from now in this regard.
