PM Shehbaz approves immediate release of 26,000 MT of wheat for GB

Islamabad: The immediate release of 26,666 metric tonnes of wheat to Gilgit-Baltistan for two months has been authorized by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Shehbaz Sharif also instructed the Finance Division to set aside 2.5 billion rupees for Gilgit Baltistan in order to meet the region’s urgent needs, according to a notification from the Prime Minister’s office. The Prime Minister further instructed the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs to submit a thorough and viable plan for price rationalization in three days for the Economic Coordination Committee’s consideration after consulting with all parties.
