Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the relevant authorities to develop a comprehensive plan on the issue right away after requesting a report on the nation’s increasing polio case count on Tuesday.
Concerned by the increase in polio cases, the prime minister called a meeting of the federal cabinet to review the matter.
Speaking on the 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill that was just approved by the legislature, the prime minister stated that the law was necessary for judicial reforms and systemic enhancement.
He said the amendment was also the realisation of the Charter of Democracy’s 2006 objective and thanked the political parties and leadership for their cooperation.
