BEIJING: On Tuesday, Kenyan President Dr. William Ruto was asked to help the caretaker prime minister, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, conclude the probe into the killing of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif. Arshad Sharif, a journalist and news caster, was shot and killed on October 23, 2018, while he was visiting Kenya. Following the two leaders’ meeting in China, the PM Office released a statement saying, “The prime minister requested the Kenyan President for facilitation and finalisation of the Special Joint Investigation Team report in the murder case of late Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif.” The gathering happened outside of Beijing, China’s 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
