On Sunday, Pakistan’s prime minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to guaranteeing access to healthcare for all citizens.
In a statement on Sunday, World Health Day, the prime minister said, “Towards our destination of a healthier nation, I once again reiterate the commitment to transform Pakistan’s healthcare sector at all levels that will ensure that every and every Pakistani has access to quality healthcare.”
According to him, the year’s theme, “My health, my right,” perfectly captured each and every person’s entitlement to high-quality medical care.
