The terrorist incident in Panjgur has been denounced by the president and prime minister. The incident that killed five workers at a dam site in the Paroom area of Panjgur district on Tuesday was sharply denounced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Officials reported on Tuesday that unidentified gunmen had opened fire at a dam building site in Panjgur’s Paroom area, killing at least five persons and wounding two more.
According to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the incident happened early Tuesday morning and killed workmen assigned to the dam’s maintenance.
Rind stated that the two injured were allegedly not in danger and that the dead and injured had been sent to a nearby hospital.
In a statement released by the PM Office, the prime minister urged that the offenders be caught and held accountable.
“The opponents of Pakistan’s and Balochistan’s development are those who attack dam workers. Such criminals have no place in Pakistan. The miscreants cannot weaken the government’s determination to improve Balochistan with such cowardly actions,” he reaffirmed.
In addition to giving the appropriate authorities instructions to provide the injured with the greatest medical care available, the prime minister prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls and the quick recovery of the injured.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his sadness and anguish over the loss of valuable lives in the terrorist assault and denounced the fire of armed forces in Panjgur.
President Asif Ali Zardari sent his condolences to the families of those killed in the incident, according to a statement from the President’s press department.
According to President Zardari, terrorists are adversaries of the nation’s growth and the province’s prosperity. Terrorists, he claimed, are opposed to Balochistan’s progress.
The president hopes that those hurt in the incident would recover quickly.
In addition, the President prayed for patience for the relatives of the deceased and high rankings for the departed souls in Jannah.
Mohsin Naqvi, the federal interior minister, vehemently denounced Tuesday the attack on a Panjgur construction company’s site that claimed many lives.
