PM orders policy on financial security for sportsmen

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the go-ahead to develop programme that would hire sportsmen through  government departments in order to protect their finances and  advance sports in the nation. He assigned Rana Mashhood, the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, the responsibility of personally supervising the  policy and guaranteeing its execution in week. The prime minister was speaking during celebration of the  Pakistani hockey team’s accomplishment, which included winning  silver medal in the 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024 final in  Malaysia. According to PM Sharif, employment will allow athletes to focus on  their sport by relieving them of the burden of providing for their families. He praised the national hockey team’s amazing performance and  described it as start towards bringing back the grandeur of the  sport.
