On Wednesday, Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, gave the relevant authorities instructions to construct an international-standard health tower in the federal capital that will house hospitals, universities of medicine and nursing, cutting-edge labs, and diagnostic centres.
The prime minister gave the order to develop a plan for constructing the aforementioned tower through a public-private partnership while presiding over a meeting to discuss issues pertaining to the Ministry of National Health Services.
The prime minister voiced his concerns over the reported new instances of polio in the nation and committed to eradicate the disease by working with partners and all-out resources, emphasising the vital roles that the health sector plays in saving lives.
Additionally, he demanded that the laboratories undergo a third-party examination.
