At the Supreme Court on Thursday, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The state broadcaster said that Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar attended the meeting as well.
The meeting takes place one day after the supreme court convened a full court session to consider the accusations made by six of the eight IHC justices regarding the nation’s intelligence services interfering with judicial matters.
In light of the letter, an informed source stated that the sitting contemplated starting suo motu proceedings under Article 184(3) of the Constitution; however, no decision was made in this regard.
