ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for France on Wednesday to attend the New Global Financing Pact Summit in Paris,. On the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, the prime minister is traveling to France for an official visit. In order to address the issues of sustainable development, alternative and renewable energy sources, the environment, and climate change, the future of the global financial system will be discussed and consulted upon at the Global Financing Pact Summit. The Prime Minister will speak at the summit in his capacity as the leader of the nation most negatively impacted by climate change and as a prominent member of the G-77. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the Summit as well as individual meetings with world leaders.
