TASHKENT: In order to advance regional economic integration, Pakistan and Uzbekistan reaffirmed on Wednesday their commitment to concluding the Strategic Partnership Agreement as soon as possible. On the fringes of the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), which is being held in this country, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev conducted a bilateral meeting during which the topic of the bilateral ties was discussed. Both parties reiterated their intention to actively contribute to regional connectivity. The presidents discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a number of areas, such as connectivity, security, trade, and economics as well as politics and defence. Prime Minister Kakar expressed his happiness with the increasing degree of bilateral collaboration but emphasised the need to maintain the momentum.
