PM given guard of honor during Tajikistan visit

At the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived here on Tuesday for a two-day visit and was greeted with a guard of honour.

President Rehmon greeted the prime minister with warmth as soon as he arrived at the Qasr-e-Millat.

The prime minister stood at the saluting dias while both nations’ national anthems were played.

The prime minister later received a guard of honour from the impeccably attired contingents of the Tajik armed forces, which he surveyed.

Afterwards, President Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister Shehbaz introduced their respective delegations to one another.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar made up the prime minister’s delegation.
