Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker prime minister, highlighted on Tuesday that the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) federally-level activities should benefit the people in each province. The Prime Minister made these remarks as Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Ali Mardan Khan Domki, and other members of the Provincial Apex Committee were present at the meeting. The updated National Action Plan, law enforcement operations, anti-smuggling and anti-narcotics operations in Balochistan, and the security of foreign people working on CPEC or non-CPEC commercial projects were all discussed to the forum during the Apex Committee meeting.
The gathering was also updated on the repatriation of unauthorised immigrants, measures for regularising foreign exchange, and the development of SIFC activities in Balochistan. The Balochistan government has made progress, and the prime minister expressed trust in it while assuring full federal support. Prime Minister Kakar emphasised at the meeting that Balochistan’s socioeconomic growth was essential for maintaining the province’s stability and progress. The COAS emphasised that the Pakistan Army would work in tandem with law enforcement agencies and other government departments to support enforcement actions against a wide range of illegal activities with full force in order to prevent resource theft and the economic losses the nation suffered as a result of these activities.
The development of that industry will lead to more economic activity and job prospects for the local population, according to the prime minister, who noted that Balochistan is rich in mining and minerals. Aside from the development of human resources, he continued, investments in agriculture and information technology should also be prioritised. He emphasised the necessity of collaboration amongst all pertinent departments in order for the initiatives to be successful. The participants affirmed that the people, government agencies, and state institutions were working together for the development and prosperity of the province. The chief minister of Balochistan and the corps commander of Balochistan welcomed the prime minister and COAS earlier.
