PM for steps to grant industrial status to gems, precious stones sector

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the necessary orders to the appropriate authorities so that the nation’s gem and precious stone industry may receive the industrial status.

While presiding over a meeting on the gem and precious stone industry, the prime minister advocated for quick activation of the Gems and Jewellery Development Company in addition to appropriate legislation and discussions with the provinces and the private sector.

He claimed that the majority of the nation, especially Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were wealthy in abundant natural resources that should be completely utilised.

Additionally, Stone Products’ international accreditation and display at international exhibits were demanded by Prime Minister Shehbaz.
