PM for improving tax, revenue collection

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) instructions to use contemporary technology to enhance the tax and revenue collection process.

According to a PM Office press release, the prime minister directed the steps for the FBR officers’ capacity enhancement and its efficient utilisation while presiding over a review meeting on the FBR reforms.

He argued for improving the efficiency of the systems to stop smuggling and oversaw the development of a plan for reorganising Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL).

The prime minister asked the officers to complete the reform process and instructed the FBR to create a welcoming environment for taxpayers.
