In the worldwide pursuit of health security, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasised on Wednesday the necessity of investigating global finance systems that could assist developing countries, guaranteeing that no one was left behind. “The International Health Regulations Core Capabilities evaluation, which emphasised the need for a country’s medium-term road map with adequate funding and broad support, is a request that is widely shared throughout the world. “To increase buy-in and commitment at all levels, we need to invest in open, transparent, and multi-sectoral processes,” the prime minister declared during the opening remarks of the first-ever two-day Global Health Security Summit in 2024. Prime Minister Kakar emphasised the significance of improving cross-border coordination in the health sector, pointing out that the “One Health” concept acknowledged the interdependence of environmental, animal, and human health.
