On Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif gave the appropriate authorities instructions to speed up the Federal Board of Revenues’ (FBR) legal actions in order to guarantee the early resolution of the tax revenue cases that are currently before trial.
The prime minister, who chaired a review meeting on accelerating FBR’s legal cases, gave the order to employ reputable attorneys to represent FBR in tax revenue issues.
He said that changes to the FBR system were being swiftly implemented by the administration.
“By the grace of Allah Almighty, the positive results of reforms in FBR continue,” he stated. In addition, he oversaw the forensic examination of tax-related cases.
