PM directs to reduce power price common man

On Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif issued directives for drastic measures that would lower the cost of electricity per unit and benefit the average person. These measures included moving imported coal-run plants, improving the power supply system, establishing cost-effective and renewable energy plants, and operating solar projects.

A high-level review meeting of the power sector was presided over by the prime minister.

Federal ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, and Dr. Mussadik Malik were present at the meeting, according to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing. Other attendees included former minister Muhammad Ali, Member of the National Assembly Bilal Zaheer Kiyani, Rana Ahsan Afzal, Salman Ahmed, and pertinent authorities.
