PM directs solid actions to curb human trafficking defaming Pakistan

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked for a report on the human trafficking cases involving Pakistani people over the past year and instructed the relevant authorities to take strong action against human trafficking that brings shame to Pakistan.

The prime minister advocated for tough action against those who ship innocent people to other nations while presiding over a conference to review the deaths of Pakistani nationals in a boat capsizing incident in Greece and the steps being taken to stop human trafficking.

He criticised the lack of justice taken against those guilty for the 262 Pakistani nationals who had died in a similar tragedy in the same region last year. He went on to say that the lack of punishment taken against those responsible is the reason why these instances keep happening.
