Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was given a comprehensive action plan by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication on Friday that aims to increase the nation’s IT exports to $25 billion within five years.
According to a news release from the PM Office, the prime minister, who had assigned the IT ministry the aforementioned goal, presided over a review meeting today, expressed gratitude for the action plan, and gave instructions to guarantee its execution.
The action plan included steps to address the problems and implement reforms in many IT-related areas.
The prime minister stated in his speech that there was no shortage of qualified personnel or resources. IT exports could surpass the $25 billion target if resources are used efficiently and human capital is skilfully trained.
