On Sunday, Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, expressed his profound worry over the current state of affairs in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and urged all parties to pursue a peaceful resolution to their demands.
The prime minister made it clear that while discourse, debate, and nonviolent protests were all wonderful aspects of democracy, breaking the law and causing damage to government property would not be tolerated.
He posted on his X timeline, “Unfortunately, there are always some, who rush in to score political points in situations of chaos and dissent.”
In addition, he had a conversation with the prime minister of Jammu and Kashmir and instructed all regional PML-N office bearers to communicate with the action committee leaders in order to reach a peaceful conclusion.
