PM augments Youth Loan amount up to Rs1.5mln for SMEs

Under the PM’s Youth Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif issued an order on Thursday to raise the youth loan amount from Rs0.5 million to Rs1.5 million and create a special package for female small-business owners.

According to a news release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the PM presided over a review meeting on SMEs’ concerns and assessed the status of government programs aimed at SMEs’ growth and assistance.

PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the government was committed to helping SMEs in order to inspire the nation’s workers to choose entrepreneurship. “SMEs are essential to the growth of economies around the world.The government’s top objective is to support SMEs in order to boost local exports.
