PM assures implementation of understanding with AJK

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the advancements of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir as interconnected. He also gave the assurance that his administration, working with the leadership of AJK, would see to it that mutual understanding is put into practice and that a lasting solution to the problems facing the Kashmiri people is sought.

During his all-day visit, he addressed the AJK cabinet members and gave the go-ahead for the creation of a committee to examine matters such as water charges, Neelum Jhelum, and other matters that would affect the AJK people.

Prime Minister Shehbaz made reference to the recent AJK people’s rights movement, saying that although the people raised their voices in support of their justifiable demands, some miscreants attempted to incite riots and carry out murders.
