PIA flights’ resumption to Europe will be milestone: Aleem

The launch of Pakistan International Airlines’ flights to Europe is a very positive step, according to Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the Federal Minister predicted that this flight operation would mark a significant turning point in PIA’s privatization.

In order to further enhance the legitimacy of the national flag carrier, he expressed optimism that PIA flights will resume for both the US and the UK.
Aleem stated that while the remaining work and unresolved steps will soon materialize, the difficulties impeding the PIA privatization process have been resolved.
He explained that the IMF had also reached a consensus on two crucial issues for PIA buyers, following which the 18 percent sales tax on new aircraft purchases will be eliminated.
