On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underlined that a fair resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, in line with pertinent UN Security Council decisions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, was a necessary condition for a lasting peace in South Asia.
The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for realisation of their inalienable right to self-determination while speaking with a delegation of activists from the Kashmiri diaspora led by Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, who paid him a visit.
He applauded the efforts of the Kashmiri activists to raise awareness of the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the Jammu and Kashmir dispute on a worldwide scale.
