ISLAMABAD: Faisal Karim Kundi, the special assistant to the prime minister for poverty alleviation and social safety, claimed on Sunday that the PDM-led administration had prevented a default by taking other risky measures in addition to reaching a successful arrangement with the IMF. According to him, the PPP leadership has all the skills necessary to help the country overcome its current problems, which is why the lower classes of society are looking to them for leadership. The PPP has consistently advocated for students, youth, women, workers, and small farmers and is the only voice for the underprivileged, according to him.

He said the PPP believes in services to people, not abusive politics, adding, PP will not fight against any political party but against poverty and inflation.

Kundi also expressed confidence that PPP leadership Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will receive public support in general elections and general elections in the country will be held according to the constitution and not on the will and whims of a single party.

Replying to a query, he replied that any political party that achieved the masses’ mandate in transparent election would have all the right to form the government and address the country’s problems.
