PCB to invite Australia for tour of Pakistan once again

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is once again planning to invite Australian Cricket Team for tour of Pakistan.

According to Cricket Pakistan, the board is looking forward to push a proposal to Cricket Australia (CA) regarding playing two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in Karachi, after the conclusion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season four.

Both teams are scheduled to play five ODIs in March next year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Earlier, the board had sent an invite to their Australian counterparts to which they responded positively and announced to send their security team to visit the country.

However, now PCB is now planning to invite CA officials to watch PSL matches in Pakistan.

Last time Australia played in Pakistan was over two decades ago. They visited the country in 1998 under the captaincy of Mark Taylor.

Meanwhile, Australia High Commissioner Margaret Adamson will also send a report to CA regarding law and order situation in the country. He has already given green signal regarding improved security situation in Pakistan during a ceremony hosted by the board.
