Passport counters should be set up in post offices: Aleem Khan

A crucial meeting with the Focal Group of Communication, chaired by Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan, concentrated on reviving the Pakistan Postal Service and ensuring stronger financial discipline.

He suggested setting up NADRA and passport service counters at pharmacies and general stores across the country in an effort to expand accessibility and raise money.
Minister Khan stressed the urgency of taking immediate action, ordering staff to address inefficiencies and lessen reliance on government funding while creating a financial plan for Pakistan Post in less than a week.

The minister emphasised the necessity of reform, stating that the organisation “cannot survive on high expenses and low income” and urging the removal of open positions.
