Parliamentary committee approves constitutional amendment draft

The document, which will be tabled at the cabinet meeting tomorrow (October 19), has been approved by the special parliamentary committee created for constitutional modifications.
PTI and JUI-F opposed the plan, and ANP boycotted the meeting.
The meeting of the special committee was held on Friday at Parliament House. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Amir Dogar of the PTI, Shahida Akhtar Ali of the JUI-F, Irfan Siddiqui of the PML-N, Aminul Haque of the MQM, Raja Pervez Ashraf of the PPP, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Ijazul Haq, Khalid Hussain Magsi, and others were present at the meeting.
Amir Dogar, a PTI member, said during the meeting that the government should be in charge of amending the constitution.
