Pakistan’s Maritime Sector set for major boost: Minister

Top international corporations are fighting for access to Pakistan’s ports, according to Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Wednesday. The government is taking decisive action to completely digitize the maritime industry, which could turn Pakistan into a prosperous center of global trade.
In a recent interview with the media, the Minister presented a bold plan to modernize Pakistan’s ports, stating that international corporations have shown interest in making multi-billion dollar investments because of the ports’ enormous potential.
He said he is confident that this achievement will propel Pakistan’s marine industry to new heights and establish it as a major player in regional trade.
