Pakistani businessmen urged to explore Ethiopian markets

Multan: The Ambassador of Ethiopia visit to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan, invited the Multani industrialists and businessmen to visit Ethiopia for mutual trade and cooperation for climate change. HE Jamal Baqir Abdullah visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Multan and met the members of the Chamber. On this occasion, he addressed the members of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and invited them to visit Ethiopia and said that direct flights from Ethiopia to Pakistan will be started   soon, which will reduce the distance between the business community between the two countries. We invite the Pakistani business community to do business in Africa and assure full facilities and cooperation.  It has a four thousand years old history; Ethiopia signed a peace agreement with Africa on November 2, 2022, which started the new era of construction and development of Ethiopia. Ethiopian coffee is famous all over the world. Ethiopia meets 85% of the country’s needs with clean energy, which is cheap and environmentally friendly. Ethiopia is ready to cooperate with Pakistan to deal with climate challenges.  Delagation of Chamber will be visit for Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa on a 5-day visit.  New business markets of 4 billion population introduced, President Mian Rashid Iqbal, while presenting the letter of thanks, from the Ethiopian ambassador for inviting the trade delegation and welcome to the Multan Chamber of Commerce. President briefed that South Punjab is a fertile area for investment in the agro-based industry, Investments can be made in the sectors of fruits, vegetables processing, dairy livestock, and this area cotton ginning, spinning, weaving, fertilizers, cosmetics, glass manufacturing, flour mills, oil mills, food items, beverages and juices, besides kitchen towels, Handicrafts, Carpets, Ceramics, Khusa’s, sohan halwa etc, and for women’s embroidered dresses, blue pottery and camel skin products and there are vast investment opportunities in these sectors.  Pakistan can become a major importing and exporting country to Ethiopia. He expressed the expectation that the visit of the Pakistani trade delegation to Ethiopia will increase the trade relations between the two countries. Senior Vice President of Chamber of Commerce Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh expressed his gratitude to Ambassador for coming to Multan Chamber of Commerce.
