Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government is completely focused on making the country clean and green. it will soon Pakistan will look green.

The PM while launching the Clean Green Index said that one cannot breathe in Lahore and the conditions of the city are hazardous for the old and young. He added that air pollution in Lahore has reached the last resort and is a silent murder. He added that we do not know how many people have been affected by it.

IMRAN KHAN said, “We used to think that Delhi was the most polluted city where the conditions of the people were very bad.” He added that it is disappointing that Lahore has reached that level. This was because no one thought what we had to do. He added that we are cutting our trees and in the last 10 years over 70 percent of Lahore’s city were cut.

“We ruined our rivers by deposing of our sewerage in it,” said Prime Minister Imran, adding that people drink that water. No government can make the country clean green alone. He added that the authorities, elected officials should take part in it. He appealed to the youth to also become a part of the clean and green Pakistan, adding that the government is completely focused on it.

The premier said, “We do not value this Pakistan and when we do then Pakistan will look green.”The clean green Index is capable of measuring green character and cleanliness of cities. The barometer, called Clean Green Pakistan Index, aims at improving overall green and clean outlook of cities.
