Pakistan will continue to provide aid to Turkiye, Syria; vows Prime Minister

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated in Lahore on Sunday that Pakistan would continue to send aid to its Turkish and Syrian kin who have been affected by the earthquake. He declared that money set up for Turkiye’s earthquake victims would also be used to aid Syrian earthquake victims. According to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing, the prime minister presided over a meeting to review the ongoing relief efforts Pakistan is making to assist the people of Turkey and Syria who have been affected by earthquakes. The prime minister declared during the meeting that Pakistan would cover all costs associated with supplying these nations with humanitarian aid.

In addition, he instructed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to acquire the necessary supplies in consideration of the needs of the earthquake victims, noting that Pakistan was also utilizing land and sea routes to ensure supply of aid.
