After raising the national flag at Pakistan House in New York on Saturday to mark the 84th “Pakistan Day,” Ambassador Munir Akram declared that Pakistan would support the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine until they exercised their right to self-determination.
At the brief ceremony, the National Anthem was played as the flag was hoisted into the air.
The ambassador told a distinguished audience at the event jointly hosted by the Pakistan Consulate General in New York and the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN that “Pakistan continues to be a strong voice for universal human rights including the right to self-determination of all peoples under foreign occupation, especially the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine.”
He stated that Pakistan’s history reached a turning point on March 23.
