BEIJING: On Wednesday, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, declared that Pakistan was dedicated to cooperating with China and other regional allies to realise the objectives of an open global economy and to advancing transcontinental connectivity. “We can create a brighter, peaceful, and sustainable future for ourselves and for our generations with shared responsibility and by embracing the vision of working together,” he stated during his speech at the Third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) high-level event on “Connectivity in an Open Global Economy.” Representatives from 140 countries attended the two-day meeting, which honoured the tenth anniversary of the multibillion dollar cross-regional Belt and Road Initiative, which got underway in Beijing, the capital of China.
