Pakistan, Saudia affirm to expedite $5b investment package

During their meeting, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed their commitment to moving quickly to implement the $5 billion investment package, which was previously discussed.

According to a joint statement released on Monday, the meeting, which took place at Al-Safa Palace here on Sunday as part of Prime Minister Shehbaz’s three-day visit to the Kingdom, covered the bilateral ties as well as regional and global developments of mutual interest, including the concerning situation in Gaza.

The talks focused on strengthening the brotherly ties between the two countries and looking into ways to further cooperation in a number of areas. The importance of the Kingdom’s assistance to Pakistan’s economy was emphasised.
