Pakistan, Saudi Arabia vow to solidify efforts in defence collaboration

The Pakistan Army’s support for Saudi Arabia’s “capacity building” of the Royal Saudi Land Forces was reinforced by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Friday, according to a statement from the military’s media wing.
In a meeting held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Defence, Major General (Engineer) Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, received the assurance from the army chief, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the discussion, both officials talked about areas of shared interest and ways to improve bilateral defence cooperation, such as military training and defence production.
According to the ISPR, “the visiting dignitary acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s valuable contributions towards regional peace and stability as well as the army’s achievements and sacrifices in the war against terrorism.”
