ISLAMABAD: Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise in Pakistan as more than 5,000 new cases of epidemic have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 57,669 samples were tested, of which 5,427 tested positive, which is 9.48% positive compared to 9.45% of the total.
With the emergence of new cases, the number of cases across the country has increased to 1,333,521.
In the last 24 hours, eight more patients with Covid 19 died from the virus, bringing the death toll to 29,037. The number of critically ill patients rose to 908.
So far, 24,297,430 tests have been performed in Pakistan to diagnose the deadly virus and 1,265,239 people, including 628, have recovered in the last 24 hours.
