By removing Pakistan from its national Threat Assessment list, the Scandinavian country of Norway took a momentous step.
Pakistan’s successful diplomatic efforts achieved the change, convincing “Norwegian authorities to exclude Pakistan’s name from their list of security concern nations.”
The announcement was contained in the most recent report released by Norway’s Police Security Service, which is in charge of domestic intelligence and security issues.
Pakistan and other countries had been included in Norway’s National Threat Assessment for a number of years. For Pakistani academics and students, who frequently encountered difficulties as a result of their nation’s listing, it presented difficulties.
To complicate matters further, Indian media has also contributed to the propagation of arguments opposing Pakistan’s inclusion in this evaluation.
