Pakistan on Friday offered Iran an olive branch to work on “all issues” following airstrikes against terrorists inside each other’s borders. Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani spoke over the phone with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on Friday against the backdrop of the current tensions between Pakistan and Iran. Jilani stated that Islamabad is willing to cooperate with Tehran on any matter. Iran launched assaults in Pakistan on Tuesday, according to Iranian state television, targeting what it claimed to be camps for the jihadist group Jaish al-Adl in the Balochistani border town of Panjgur. This led to Islamabad’s harsh denunciation and the downgrade of diplomatic ties. The strikes were a part of a string of assaults that Iran has recently carried out in Iraq and Syria.
