In order to become self-sufficient in the manufacture of defence materials, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reiterated their intention to strengthen defence cooperation across all fronts. This was discussed at the third Pakistan-KSA Defence Collaboration meeting held at GHQ in Rawalpindi. The meeting reaffirmed the necessity of looking into new defence cooperation opportunities and quickening the pace of cooperation. The importance of the historical ties between the two sibling states was emphasised during the conference. The topics of importance to both parties and the changing security landscape were covered. The two sides talked about how quickly military technology is developing and how both states need to work together in the defence industry to achieve common goals.
