To strengthen cooperation in a number of areas, including trade, science and technology, agriculture, health, culture, and judicial affairs, Pakistan and Iran inked eight agreements on diverse topics on Monday.
During Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s three-day official visit to Pakistan, the two nations signed the documents.
President Raisi and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif saw the signing ceremony between the delegates of the two parties.
An agreement was reached between the two nations to establish the Rimdan-Gabd Joint Free/Special Zone. Hojjatollah Abdolmaleki, the secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade, Industrial, and Special Economic Zones, and Ambreen Iftikhar, the secretary of the Board of Investment, signed the memorandum.
