Pakistan, Indonesia agree to deepen economic, commercial ties

During their meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia decided to stay in close communication in order to sustain the momentum in their bilateral relations, with a focus on further strengthening their economic and commercial relationships.

According to a news release from the PM Office, both leaders emphasised the value of frequent high-level communication between the two nations during their discussion on the margins of the D-8 Summit today.

In addition to congratulating Prabowo on taking office, Prime Minister Shehbaz discussed a variety of topics of shared interest, such as collaboration at multilateral fora and bilateral ties encompassing political, trade, and economic concerns.

He pointed out that Pakistan has a trustworthy trading partner in Indonesia.
