Based on a common faith, culture, and history, Pakistan and Bahrain have strong familial relations, according to President Asif Ali Zardari, who stated as much on Tuesday. Additionally, he emphasised the necessity of transforming Pakistan-Bahrain bilateral relations into an advantageous economic alliance. According to a news statement from the President Secretariat news Wing, the president discussed these opinions with General Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Commander of the Bahraini National Guard, when he visited him at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Abdul Qader, the Bahraini ambassador to Pakistan, was also present for the meeting. The president welcomed the visiting Commander and stated that although relations between Pakistan and Bahrain were good, they still needed to be improved in areas of shared interest.
