Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, stated on Wednesday that Pakistan aimed to strengthen its relations with Uzbekistan in a number of areas, including trade and business.
During a meeting with Ishaq Dar, Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov—who is in town on a two-day official visit—they talked about bilateral relations.
After their one-on-one discussion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the guest when he arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the deputy prime minister, relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are cordial and robust.
The foreign minister of Uzbekistan said that his country views Pakistan as a second home and expressed his satisfaction at being there.
According to him, Uzbekistan places a high importance on its ties with Pakistan.
