Pakistan, China resolve to protect CPEC from detractors

On Friday, China and Pakistan reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) against its opponents and critics, guaranteeing the prompt completion of all ongoing projects, and promoting the high-quality development of the CPEC.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang held delegation-level talks at the Great Hall of the People, where they discussed bilateral connections and collaboration. Important members of his government accompanied the prime minister.

As the prime minister arrived in the Great Hall of the People, a welcome ceremony was organised in his honour.

The two leaders spoke about a wide range of bilateral relations as well as regional and worldwide issues that they both found beneficial for mutual interest.
